CosMech Horror

Made for Mech Jam 2024.

Didn't have time to add instructions or a list of controls in the game. 

There is no real objective, though you can consider unlocking the large door towards the southern section of the map the end.

Energy management and positioning are the focus here. If you run out of energy or get your mech stuck up against a wall during combat, you'll probably die.

Universal Controls:

• WASD - Move
• Mouse - Aim

Mech Controls:

• Left Mouse - Left Weapon
• Right Mouse - Right Weapon
• Space - Dodge
• F - Use Repair (uses displayed top left)
• E - Interact with Repair bays (bonfires)
• X - Exit Mech

On Foot:

• Left Mouse - Shoot
• Right Mouse - Aim
• R - Reload
• E - Interact with terminals
• X - Enter Mech (when near mech)

Made in about a week solo. Assets used are:

BOOM Library for audio assets.

Eclipse Light Engine for GameMaker Studio by Badwrong Games LLC

All other art and code is my own and I have the rights to all assets used.

A quick and dirty hotfix was needed due to major bugs: 

Repair depots not respawning enemies as intended.
Healing mechanic not working.
The player being unable to take damage when on foot.
Audio not playing when mech runs out of energy.  

Aproximately 30 minutes work done after submission.
